APT Coaches Ltd undertakes to carry out the journey detailed overleaf but cannot be held responsible for late arrival for circumstances beyond our control, for example road traffic accident, road works, flood, fire, acts of terrorism or vandalism, ferry or train delay, mechanical failure etc.
APT Coaches Ltd does not accept any liability for any loss or damage to passenger’s baggage or personal belongings including clothing. Passenger’s property is brought onto the vehicle entirely at the owner’s risk.
APT Coaches Ltd reserves the right to alter the cost listed overleaf without prior notification where there is an alteration by the hirer. The amended price will be given on request. VAT has been charged at the applicable rate at the time of booking. Any alteration by the Government will result in an amendment in the price. APT Coaches Ltd reserves the right to pass on to the customer any ferry or train surcharges imposed by the operator. We are able to accept payments by debit or credit card; however credit card payments are subject to 3% transaction fee. There is no charge for debit card payments or electronic bank transfers such as BACS.
In the event of a cancellation by the hirer with more than 14 days notice, the whole of the deposit or 10%, whichever is greater, will be payable. In the event of a cancellation with less than 14 days notice, the full costs as listed on the invoice will be payable. Different cancellation terms will apply for any bookings involving ferry or train crossings; please enquire at the time of booking. Any cancellation requests must be made in writing by the client either by post, email or fax and must be acknowledged by APT Coaches Ltd in writing to confirm that we have received notice of the cancellation. If a hirer amends a booking and we have already issued a confirmation invoice, then there may be an administration charge if the hirer requires a new confirmation invoice (and/or a credit note) to be issued.
APT Coaches Ltd reserves liability for the loss or damage, personal injury or inconvenience caused to hirers and passengers as a result of use of hotels, meals and transportation arranged by the company with outside contractors or companies, except by the negligence of the company or its employees.
In the event of any person causing damage to a vehicle by sickness there will be a charge of £50 (not applicable to school groups). Smoking or alcohol are not permitted on any of our vehicles. APT Coaches Ltd reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking or terminate a passenger’s journey without refund in the event of unreasonable conduct. In the event of our vehicle(s) being issued with a Penalty Charge Notice or parking fine due to the late arrival of the group, then this will be charged to the client.
In the event of breakdown, APT Coaches Ltd have the unconditional right to hire coaches from other companies, which may be of a different standard to complete a journey.
